Modern Slavery Statement

Modern Slavery Statement

Financial Year Ending 31st December 2024

This statement is made by Advantis Credit Ltd in accordance with section 54(1) of the UK Modern Slavery Act 2015 for the financial period 1st January 2024 to 31st December 2024. It sets out the steps we have taken, and will continue to take, to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking within our business operations and supply chains.

Our Business and Organisational Structure

Advantis Credit Ltd is a UK-based financial services company, authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. We specialise in debt collection and tracing services, working with clients across the UK. We operate from two UK-based offices and employ approximately 280 people. Our client base includes some of the largest companies in the UK, spanning a range of market sectors, including utilities, government bodies, and retail finance.

Advantis Credit Ltd is a subsidiary of CDER Group International Limited, which is itself a subsidiary of Outsourcing UK Limited. Outsourcing UK Limited is wholly owned by Outsourcing Inc., an international company headquartered in Tokyo. The group specialises in recruitment, resourcing, business process outsourcing and debt collection. Outsourcing Inc.’s significant shareholder is Bain Capital, a global private investment firm with offices around the world, including Tokyo and London.

We recognise our responsibility to uphold the highest standards of ethical conduct and to respect human rights across our operations and business relationships. We have a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery and human trafficking, and we are committed to ensuring that these abuses have no place in our business or supply chains.

Our Policies

We maintain a comprehensive range of policies and operating procedures that underpin our commitment to human rights and ethical business within our operations and supply chains. Our key policies include a Modern Slavery Policy, Recruitment Policy, Code of Conduct, Whistleblowing Policy and Supplier Code of Conduct.

Our recruitment policies are designed to prevent exploitative practices and ensure fair treatment. These include conducting appropriate background checks for all new employees prior to their employment start date, including verification of their Right to Work in the UK. We also ensure that all employees are paid at rates above the National Minimum Wage.

These policies are available for our employees to review at any time via the company intranet.

Our Supply Chains

Given the nature of our business and the regulated industry in which we operate, we consider the risk of modern slavery within our sector and supply chain to be low. However, we remain vigilant and proactive in our approach to identifying and mitigating any potential risks.

Our supply chain primarily comprises professional service providers, IT and technology partners, facilities management, and recruitment agencies. These suppliers are predominantly based in the UK and EU, jurisdictions with strong legal frameworks and lower inherent risks of modern slavery.

We have implemented robust supplier vetting and onboarding processes for all suppliers, and a Supplier Code of Conduct to ensure that all suppliers meet our business and ethical standards. We also conduct ongoing monitoring to ensure continued compliance with our ethical standards. Our supplier contracts include clauses requiring adherence to the Modern Slavery Act 2015.

Training and Awareness

We recognise the importance of equipping our employees with the knowledge and awareness to identify and address the risks of modern slavery and human trafficking. In addition to our internal policies, we provide training and guidance to our employees during their induction and at least annually thereafter. This training helps employees to understand the risks associated with modern slavery, recognise potential warning signs, and know how to report any concerns in line with our Whistleblowing Policy.

Continuous Improvement

We are committed to continuously strengthening our approach to preventing modern slavery and human trafficking. We will continue to monitor and assess the effectiveness of our existing controls, including enhancing our current due diligence processes and engaging proactively with our suppliers to promote transparency and ethical practices. We also remain committed to reviewing and updating our policies and training on at least an annual basis.
